We Start With a Game Wildcats Over Decatur 17-3

In a game that brought bencher Al Phillips to the mound, came also big guns from Jerry Hudgins, who smashed a three run homer, Larry Parker, Knox Childers, Dick Shelly and Denzil Lynch as well as pitcher Phillips.  High scorers were Hudgins and Shelly with three runs each. Wildcats over Athens Trojans 5 - 3

Dennie McDuffie's silent gun comes alive with a fifth inning triple that shot down the Trojans 5 - 3.  McDuffie's blast brought Joel Bryant home to tie the game 3 -3 followed by McDuffie himself streaking home on a single by Denzil Lynch putting the Wildcats in the lead.  It was a hard fought come from behind game with notable hurling by pitcher Jack Beckham and hits by Dick Shelly and Larry Parker.  See the full article HERE
